The Talking Parcel

Perhaps you remember an old cartoon that you saw in the middle of the day on PBS, perhaps cut into pieces so it could be serialized. Does any of this sound familiar? A castle full of fire-breathing cockatrices, a parrot with an umbrella, a toad who works as a spy, a sea serpent with a hearing horn, an island of werewolves, cowardly weasels, and a plant called rue that makes the weasels brave. It’s all here, and while it may be a little less accomplished than you remember, it’s still a fun nostalgic ride. It’s 1984’s The Talking Parcel.
